Introduction to iThenticate
iThenticate is a text similarity detection tool for authors or co-authors to scan their written work prior to publication. It helps ensure the originality of journal articles and conference papers, avoid plagiarism or copyright infringement, uphold academic integrity and support quality research.
It is an independent web platform (https://www.hksyu.edu/ithenticate), and is available for all academic and research staff. The major difference between iThenticate and Turnitin (Feedback Studio) is that iThenticate is intended for faculty members or researchers to self-check their own written papers while Turnitin is used to check their students’ work.
