When using the IT resources provided by the University, all users, including staff, faculty members, students, contractors, consultants, visiting scholars, temporary workers, alumni, and guests, are required to comply with these General User Policies and Regulations.
- Information Technology (IT) Resources include, but are not limited to, computers, peripheral, audio-visual equipment, networks, Internet access, Wi-Fi services, email, server storage, computer accounts, software applications, telephone system.
- User account is provided to current staff, students, and eligible alumni to access or use University IT Resources,
- The sharing of accounts, passwords, or access credentials is strictly prohibited. Computer accounts, passwords, and access tokens (e.g., MFA authentication codes and SMS verification codes) are assigned solely to the designated individual and must not be shared with others.
- By accessing or using University IT Resources, users are deemed to have accepted these General User Policies and Regulations.
- Use University IT Resources only for legitimate academic, research, administrative, or other University-authorized purposes.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, University policies, and contractual obligations.
- Protect University information and IT systems from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, or modification.
- Use IT Resources responsibly and in a manner that does not disrupt, damage, impair, or degrade University operations or services.
- Respect the rights, privacy, and intellectual property of others.
- Acknowledge the University's right to take appropriate measures to ensure the security, availability, and proper functioning of its IT services and resources, even if such measures may affect individual users or groups of users.
- Acknowledge the University's right to investigate improper use, respond to policy violations, and impose appropriate corrective, disciplinary, or legal actions where necessary.
